The Registered Nurse plans and implements patient and family education while assessing patient needs and initiating appropriate interventions in collaboration with the healthcare team. Essential functions include collecting comprehensive patient data, analyzing it for diagnoses, developing and implementing the plan of care, and promoting health and a safe environment.
require current Montana Registered Nurse licensure and American Heart Association BLS certification, with preferred experience in pre-hospital settings like Ski Patrol, Search & Rescue, or EMS. Desired attributes include experience in acute care settings, computer proficiency with EHR systems, and outpatient clinic experience.
The Registered Nurse works in a collaborative and cooperative relationship with other members of the health care team, plans and implements patient and family education and is responsible for assessing the needs and initiating appropriate intervention for patients.
Current Montana Licensure (Registered Nurse) American Heart Association BLS Experience working in the pre-hospital setting, including but not limited to: Ski Patrol, Search & Rescue, or EMS Preferred: Emergency Department, Urgent Care, or other acute care clinical experience Preferred: Computer ability and knowledge of electronic health record operating systems Preferred: Outpatient or Walk-in Clinic experience Essential Job Functions: Collects Comprehensive data pertinent to the patient’s health or the situation (Assessment) Analyzes the assessment data to determine diagnoses or issues (Diagnosis) Identifies expected outcomes for a plan individualized to the patient or the situation Develops a plan that prescribes strategies and alternatives to attain expected outcomes (Plan of Care) Implements the identified plan of care Employs strategies to promote health and a safe environment Systematically enhances the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice Attains knowledge and competency that reflects current nursing practice Evaluates one’s own nursing practice in relation to professional practice standards and guidelines, relevant statutes, rules and regulations Interacts with and contributes to the professional development of peers and colleagues Collaborates with patient, family and others in the conduct of nursing practice Integrates ethical provisions in all areas of practice Integrates research findings into practice Provides leadership in the professional practice setting and the profession
