The Psychiatrist will conduct admission evaluations, develop treatment plans, and provide ongoing treatment follow-up for adult patients, while also participating in daily treatment team meetings and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
Candidates must possess an M.D./D.O. with Board Eligibility/Certification in General or Addiction Psychiatry and have successfully completed an accredited General Psychiatry residency. Required experience includes working with Substance Abuse and Dual Diagnosis populations, along with holding or being eligible for a Georgia medical license and DEA.
Weekend/Weekday PRN General or Addiction Psychiatrist Location: Moultrie, GA Turning Point Care Center is one of the largest behavioral health systems in South Georgia, allowing patients to transition between levels of care. Turning Point offers a full continuum of programs for adults with psychiatric and chemical dependency treatment issues. Treatment programs combine bio-psychosocial therapy with the 12-step recovery philosophy. Position Overview: Role: PRN, on-site patient rounding and overnight telephonic call Patient Population: Adult Dual Diagnosis/ Substance Abuse Schedule: Weekend PRN, PRN vacation weekday coverage (minimum of 1 weekend per month) Employment Type: PRN for weekends and vacation coverage Daily caseload: caseload will vary EMR: Cerner Key Responsibilities: Conduct admission evaluations, develop treatment plans, and provide ongoing treatment follow-up for adult patients. Participate in daily treatment team meetings. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care. Complete required patient documentation and notes in accordance with facility guidelines. Position Highlights: Fully staffed Medical Staff Services office providing administrative support. Education: M.D./D.O. with Board Eligibility/Certification in General Psychiatry or Addiction Psychiatry Training: Successful completion of an accredited General Psychiatry residency. Experience with Substance Abuse and Dual Diagnosis populations required.
