Provides technical assistance to ophthalmologists by gathering patient data, performing ocular function tests, and administering treatments. Responsible for maintaining clinical environments and sterilizing ophthalmic instruments.
Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and a certification as an Ophthalmic Assistant by JCAHPO. Candidates must have at least one year of work experience in ophthalmology.
JOB SUMMARY Works under minimum supervision to provide assistance with technical procedures, gathering data, and administering treatments. Performs moderately complex tasks of a routine and standardized nature.
