- Jenny Wei at The Ohio State University (OSU) College of Pharmacy is seeking a full-time postdoctoral scholar in pharmacoepidemiology who is interested in the real-world use, effectiveness, and safety of medications among older adults or patients with cancer.
- This is a one-year position with an immediate start date and can be extended based on performance for up to three years.
- The scholar will receive an annual salary based on the NIH salary scale, and the salary will be commensurate with experience.
- The scholar will lead and execute research projects under the supervision and mentorship of Dr.
- Wei.
- The main responsibilities include writing analytical protocols, analyzing large secondary datasets, developing and implementing research statistical methodologies, drafting research papers and manuscripts for publication and presentation, coordinating meetings with external collaborators, and assisting in the preparation of proposals to obtain new or renewal of extramural funding in support of research.
- The scholar also has an opportunity to initiate a pharmacoepidemiologic research project and receive training in grant proposal writing.
Additional Information
Minimum Qualifications
Ph.D. in pharmacoepidemiology, pharmaceutical health services research, or related disciplines. Experience in conducting pharmaceutical health services research and analyzing large secondary datasets, including but not limited to administrative claims data, electronic health records, national surveys, and disease registries. The applicant should have advanced skills in SAS programming.
