The Registered Nurse provides direct emergency and outpatient care to medically ill and trauma patients of various criticalities, utilizing the Emergency Severity Index (ESI) triage tool to prioritize care. This role involves coordinating care planning with other disciplines, participating in education, and ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for patients.
Candidates must possess a valid RN License in the State of Indiana and hold current BLS/CPR, ACLS, and PALS certifications. One year of experience in the Emergency Room or acute nursing is preferred for this role.
The ED Registered Nurse at Adams Memorial Hospital functions under the supervision of the ED Manager, ED Coordinator, and physicians to deliver and assess emergency and outpatient care for patients with varying levels of criticality, utilizing the Emergency Severity Index (ESI) triage tool to prioritize treatment. The RN collaborates with other disciplines to coordinate comprehensive care planning, provides education to patients and families, fosters a safe and comfortable environment, and actively pursues educational opportunities to maintain current skills and knowledge. As a vital member of the interdisciplinary team, the ED RN contributes to achieving the hospital’s mission, vision, and values, ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care.

36 hours per week - First Shift
7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
Weekend Rotation: Valid RN License in State of Indiana
BLS/CPR, ACLS and PALS Certification
One year of ER or acute nursing experience preferred
