Administer non-parenteral medications to residents in long-term care settings following physician treatment plans. Ensure strict adherence to policies and instructions provided by licensed nursing staff to maintain safety.
Must possess a valid QMA license in the state of Indiana and be available for at least three shifts monthly, including one weekend. Experience in assisted living or senior living environments is preferred.
Qualified Medication Aides (QMAs) in Indiana are authorized to administer non-parenteral medications in long-term care settings under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse, following a physician’s treatment plan. They are restricted from performing invasive procedures or assessments, and must adhere strictly to instructions provided by licensed healthcare professionals, ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures to promote safe and effective medication administration.
PRN: 3 Shifts Monthly, Including One Weekend Shift
Valid QMA License in State of Indiana
Certified Residential Medication Aide/Personal Support Specialist (CRMA/PSS)
Domestic and Sexual Violence Counselor
State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA)
