The role involves performing comprehensive evaluations for upper-extremity injuries, developing individualized treatment plans, providing post-operative care including wound care, and fabricating custom orthoses/splints as necessary. Responsibilities also include documenting progress, maintaining records, collaborating with colleagues, and educating patients and families.
Candidates must be a licensed Physical Therapist (PT) or Occupational Therapist (OT) in good standing, possessing experience in hand therapy and upper-extremity rehabilitation. Preferred qualifications include CHT certification, strong skills in manual therapy and splinting, and knowledge of evidence-based hand therapy practices.
