The Medical Assistant coordinates patient care before, during, and after office visits by preparing patients, documenting vitals, maintaining exam rooms, and assisting providers with clinical procedures like casting and wound care. Key duties also involve facilitating communication between patients and providers and managing necessary documentation and follow-up.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED, and graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant training program is preferred, along with a Medical Assistant Certificate. Preferred experience includes one to two years in a healthcare setting, proficiency with EMR systems, and demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
The Medical Assistant/Clinical Assistant is responsible for assisting providers with patient care and acts as the coordinator of care for patients before, during, and after office visits. This role includes preparing patients for visits, documenting vitals, maintaining exam room standards, performing basic clinical procedures, assisting with wound care and casting, and ensuring effective communication between patients and providers across multiple locations. This is a full-time position with Monday through Friday hours.
