The Direct Support Professional will empower individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities by helping them achieve personal independence goals through coaching and support following personalized care plans. Responsibilities also include planning engaging activities, accompanying residents on community outings, assisting with personal care, meal preparation, and ensuring health and safety protocols are followed.
Candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver's license held for at least three years with a clean driving record (no more than 3 points), and must pass required Pennsylvania clearances including Child Abuse, Criminal, and FBI fingerprinting checks. No prior experience is necessary as comprehensive training is provided.
