The Clinical Assistant/Medical Assistant coordinates patient care before, during, and after office visits by preparing patients, documenting vitals, maintaining exam rooms, and assisting providers with clinical procedures like casting and suture removal. This role also involves ensuring effective communication between patients and providers across multiple locations.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED, with graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred, and must pass an MA competency exam within two years. Preferred experience includes one to two years in a healthcare setting, familiarity with EMR systems, and strong technical proficiency for managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced clinical environment.
The Medical Assistant/Clinical Assistant is responsible for assisting providers with patient care and acts as the coordinator of care for patients before, during, and after office visits. This role includes preparing patients for visits, documenting vitals, maintaining exam room standards, performing basic clinical procedures, assisting with wound care and casting, and ensuring effective communication between patients and providers across multiple locations. This is a full-time position with Monday through Friday hours.
