The role involves assisting with direct patient care in the Emergency Room, including obtaining vital signs, assisting with hygiene and feeding, performing EKGs, and managing patient transfers. Responsibilities also include scheduling diagnostic tests, promptly responding to call lights, and maintaining patient confidentiality.
Candidates must be able to perform routine patient care activities, demonstrate critical thinking and decisive judgment, and work with minimal supervision. A current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire, and previous hospital experience is preferred.
