The main function involves providing office coverage for outpatient practice sites by coordinating all office activities and offering clerical support, while also serving as the office receptionist. This role includes entering charges and payments, and floating may be required.
A High School diploma is required, though some college is preferred for this position. Candidates must have five years of experience managing a medical office, including a working knowledge of medical terminology, transcription, credentialing, billing/bookkeeping, and insurance plans.
