The Licensed Practical Nurse is responsible for ensuring efficient and effective nursing care delivery, achieving positive clinical outcomes, and resident/family satisfaction according to regulations. This includes directing nursing care during shifts, making staff assignments, mentoring personnel, and collaborating with medical professionals.
Candidates must operate within the scope of practice defined by the state Nurse Practice Act and possess valid state licenses, excellent verbal communication, and strong interpersonal skills. A high integrity, well-grounded work ethic, agility, and a team-oriented approach are also required, with at least one year of long-term care experience being preferred.
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Responsible for ensuring the delivery of efficient and effective nursing care while achieving positive clinical outcomes and resident/family satisfaction in accordance with accepted standards of practice, state and federal regulations and licensing requirements. Operates within the scope of practice defined by the state Nurse Practice Act. Responsible for resident care and direction of nursing care during assigned shift; includes staff assignments, mentoring and educating nursing personnel, working with physicians and other medical professionals.
