The Therapist provides diagnostic assessments, treatment planning, and age-appropriate therapy to individuals, couples, and families across different age groups, utilizing evidence-based models like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Responsibilities also include maintaining proper documentation in the EMR, making necessary community referrals, and adhering to professional ethical codes and licensing requirements.
Candidates must hold a license as either a Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) or a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), with or without a supervisory designation. A bachelor's degree or higher in a mental health-related field such as social work, counseling, or psychology is required, along with proficient computer skills for utilizing EMR systems; pediatrics experience is preferred.
