Job Description
ATC Healthcare is seeking an experienced Telemetry Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment in a fast-paced acute care setting serving adult and geriatric patients. This role focuses on cardiac and medical telemetry patients with complex diagnoses and high census volume. Nurses must be comfortable with dysrhythmia management, cardiac drips, and stepdown-level care. Floating to lower-acuity units and a nearby affiliated location may be required. First-time travelers are accepted.
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct care to adult and geriatric telemetry patients
Perform continuous cardiac monitoring and rhythm interpretation
Recognize and manage dysrhythmias and cardiac events
Manage cardiac and vasoactive drips (per protocol)
Care for pre/post cardiac cath, stroke, and cardiac patients
Manage central lines, PICCs, and peripheral IVs
Administer blood and blood products
Support respiratory therapies including BiPAP, CPAP, and HFNC
Follow oxygen and non-invasive airway protocols
Maintain isolation precautions and PPE standards
Document all patient care in Epic EMR
Float within specialty and to lower-acuity or sister units as needed
Qualifications
Active Maryland RN license or compact license required at submission
Minimum 2 years of recent telemetry experience required
First-time travelers accepted
BLS certification (AHA) required
