The RN Patient Flow Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and optimizing patient movement throughout the hospital to ensure safe, efficient, and timely transitions of care. This involves collaborating with various hospital departments to reduce bottlenecks, improve throughput, and maintain appropriate capacity.
Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited School of Nursing and licensed as a Registered Nurse in South Carolina, requiring two to three years of hospital clinical nursing experience. CPR certification is required within one month of employment.
7:00pm-7:30am, to include some weekends
Functions under the direction of the Director of Nursing Quality and Excellence. The RN Patient Flow Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and optimizing patient movement throughout the hospital to ensure safe, efficient, and timely transitions of care. The coordinator collaborates with nursing units, providers, case management, bed management, the ED, procedural areas, and ancillary departments to reduce bottlenecks, improve throughput, and maintain appropriate capacity. Clinical judgment, real-time data, and operational awareness are used to facilitate admissions, discharges, and transfers.
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in South Carolina; Two to three years of hospital clinical nursing experience in designated practice area. CPR within 1 month of employment.
BSN or Baccalaureate degree in health related field; Practice experience in Critical Care, Emergency Care or Surgical Care. National certification.
