The Nurse Practitioner provides general medical care and treatment to clients with developmental disabilities and psychiatric conditions under physician supervision, involving physical examinations and prescribing/monitoring medication. Responsibilities include conducting admission reviews, coordinating specialty referrals, interpreting diagnostic tests, and documenting the plan of care.
Candidates must possess a Master’s degree in nursing and a minimum of three years of relevant field experience. Applicants are required to hold a valid Virginia license for autonomous practice, issued by the Boards of Nursing and Medicine.
