The Polysomnographic Tech I administers various sleep studies under physician direction to diagnose sleep disorders, performing routine patient assessments and scoring the resulting sleep studies. Essential functions include applying necessary equipment, administering oxygen, CPAP, and BIPAP as directed, and ensuring patient safety during procedures.
The role requires the ability to demonstrate all essential testing functions, administer respiratory support as ordered, and maintain accurate documentation and charging for services rendered. Candidates must also maintain registration with RPSGT and/or RST, attend required training, and adhere to safety protocols.
