The Physical Therapist develops and administers treatment programs to maximize patient function and independence through directed participation in selected tasks. Duties include conducting evaluations, developing treatment plans based on prescriptions, and maintaining accurate patient care records.
Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s, Master’s Degree, or Doctorate with a major in physical therapy from an accredited program and must be licensed to practice physical therapy in the State of Michigan. The role requires physical ability to stand, bend, provide treatments, and handle patients and standard physical therapy equipment safely.
Education: Bachelor’s, Master’s Degree or Doctorate with major in physical therapy from an accredited program Skills: Must possess skills consistent with the needs of the department. Years of Experience: N/A License: Licensed in the State of Michigan to practice physical therapy Certification: CPR certification according to hospital policy.
The majority of time is spent standing, bending, and providing patient care treatments. Must possess the physical ability and condition to handle patients correctly and safely. Be able to handle standard equipment in a physical therapy department.
