The Senior Ophthalmic Technician supports physicians by managing patient flow, performing clinical intake, conducting comprehensive pre-examination testing, and handling administrative tasks like phone triage and prior authorizations. This role involves both clinical duties, such as advanced diagnostic procedures, and administrative support to ensure efficient clinic operations.
A minimum of two years of experience as an Ophthalmic Technician and a High School diploma or equivalent are required, along with strong customer service and organizational skills. Preferred qualifications include obtaining an Ophthalmic Scribe Certification quickly and holding or actively pursuing a Certified Ophthalmic Assistant certification.

The Senior Ophthalmic Technician will play a vital role in supporting physicians in the delivery of high-quality eye care. Supports efficient clinic operations by managing patient flow, coordinating administrative tasks, and performing phone triage under physician guidance. Contributes to the overall effectiveness of the office through both clinical and administrative responsibilities.
