The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will provide clinical services such as taking vitals, assisting with exams, administering medications, and performing various back-office tasks like EKG and instrument sterilization. Additionally, the role includes front office duties like patient check-in/out, scheduling, and insurance verification for the Family Medicine practice.
Candidates must possess an active LPN License in Arizona or a multi-state license recognized by Arizona, along with 1-2 years of experience in a medical clinic setting. A High School diploma or GED is required, with an Associate's degree or certification preferred, and proficiency in MS Office and EHR systems is necessary.
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will provide clinical services and general support as necessary for the Family Medicine practice located in Midwestern University’s Multispecialty Clinic. The LPN is cross-trained in both front office and back office duties. The position reports to the Manager of Patient Services at the Multispecialty Clinic.

Education and/or Experience
High School diploma or GED required; AA degree or certification preferred. Must hold an active LPN License in the State of Arizona or a multi-state LPN License that is recognized by the State of Arizona. Applicants holding a multi-state LPN License must apply to transfer the license to Arizona within 60 days of hire and obtain the Arizona license within 1 year of hire. 1-2 years of experience working in a medical clinic setting is required.
Computer proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience working within electronic health record systems.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
