Ophthalmic Technician - Garden City

Job Responsibilities

• Performs other duties as assigned.
• All
• Patient
• Correspondence including but not limited to: Disability Forms, Patient Education, Surgical Consent Forms.
• Slit Lamp Examinations
• Completes Medical History, Lensometry, Auto Refracting, Pam Testing, Glare Testing.
• Performs all aspects of visual acuity testing and Visual Field Testing.

Minimum Qualifications

To qualify you must have a High School Diploma or equivalent required. Five (5) or more years of experience as an Ophthalmic Technician in a retina practice preferred. Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) from a Joint Commission for Allied Health Personnel (JCAHPO) approved institutional course preferred or working towards obtaining certification.

Preferred Qualifications

Preferable 5 + years experience in Retina Practice. Certified Ophthalmic Assistant

Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $54,013.05 - $68,843.50 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need.
