Summary of position: The Baker Center for Children and Families (also known as Judge Baker Children's Center), promotes the best possible mental health of children and families through the integration of research, intervention, training, and policy. The Program Assistant will provide a wide range of support services to the Senior Director of Outpatient Clinical Services, Assistant Directors of CET, Director of Business Operations, Director of Clinical Operations, as well as staff clinicians and internal trainees. The Program Assistant will report to the Assistant Director of CET and will provide direct administrative and operational assistance in support of business and clinical operations at CET. We are looking for an individual who is excited about supporting a collaborative, dynamic team of professionals working to improve mental health care for youth and families. Individuals seeking experience in the mental health field prior to applying to graduate school in clinical psychology or another related field are strongly encouraged to apply. Individuals in this position will be exposed to a range of evidence-based treatments and have the opportunity to shadow diagnostic interviews and treatment sessions and audit clinical trainings such as MATCH, PCIT, and TF-CBT. Duties and Responsibilities
Administrative Responsibilities
Coordinates the intake process for families by conducting in-depth clinical phone interviews with caregivers, coordinating with providers regarding client referrals, answering clinic questions, managing assessment scheduling, facilitating case assignment, and maintaining client waitlists.
Participates in weekly supervision, assessment, and evidence-based practice meetings.
Supports clinical staff by managing confidential documents and preparing supplies and equipment for assessments and treatment sessions.
Assists with office management services such as: checking in clients, processing payments, and communicating with clients via phone and email.

Produces and distributes meeting minutes.
Assists in advertising and marketing efforts, such as creating, updating, and distributing brochures and other marketing materials.
Supports the Directors of CET in other administrative and operational support as needed.
Clinical Responsibilities
Administers, scores, and interprets standardized assessment questionnaires and support undergraduate volunteers in these efforts.
Assists in writing portions of diagnostic assessment reports and pediatrician letters.
Administers behavioral assessments of children’s emotional and social development during initial evaluation.
Uses skills and principles of Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) to effectively engage in play with youth.
Qualifications
and Skills: Education:
A Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Psychology, or related field, from an accredited academic program.
Experience
• 1-2 years of clinical experience with children.
Training
Experience with statistical analysis for quality improvement or evaluation purposes.
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills that allow for skillful interactions with caregivers, children, staff, undergraduate volunteers, and professionals from other fields.
Strong project coordination skills.
Ability to work and complete assignments independently.
Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Must be able to demonstrate discretion and independent judgement while collaborating with a team.
