The Resident Care Associate directly assists residents with daily tasks, mobility, and personal care according to individualized care plans, while maintaining clear communication with the Resident Care Director regarding resident conditions. Responsibilities also include documenting all care activities, adhering to safety and infection control procedures, and fostering a respectful environment for residents and families.
Candidates must possess a compassionate disposition and a desire to serve, although prior experience is not required; however, direct-care certification or willingness to obtain it is necessary. Applicants must be able to fulfill physical and emotional needs, maintain resident confidentiality, and have flexible availability, including weekends.

The RCA must be capable of lifting, stooping, carrying, turning, and assisting high-risk residents, as well as operating medication carts. They must also be willing and able to work a flexible schedule, maintaining continuous movement throughout work hours. The ability to lift and/or carry 50 to 75 pounds is necessary. This position carries a medium risk of exposure to COVID-19 due to direct care provision to potentially positive resident.
