The Dental Hygienist provides support for patient assessment, diagnosis, and treatment under clinical supervision, while also assisting in the supervision of dental hygiene students. Key duties include performing clinical examinations, cleaning teeth, applying sealants and fluoride, providing patient instruction, and exposing radiographs.
Required qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent and completion of a Dental Hygienist course with a radiography certificate. Candidates must possess South Carolina licensure as a Dental Hygienist and have experience using both dental electronic records and digital radiography systems.
Under the general clinical supervision of the assigned dentist the Dental Hygienist (Part-Time) provides support to facilitate the assessment, dental hygiene diagnosis, and treatment of patients at New Horizon Family Dental Care. Additionally the Dental Hygienist (Part-Time) assists in the supervision of dental hygiene students rotating at the dental office.
