This role involves utilizing the nursing process to provide and direct primary nursing care to complicated, critically ill adult and geriatric patients with cardiovascular/pulmonary deficits where outcomes may be unpredictable. The nurse also participates in the care of unstable patients and serves as a mentor to student nurse externs.
A minimum of 1 year of acute care nursing experience is required, with cardiopulmonary and critical care experience being preferred. Candidates must be graduates of an accredited nursing program and hold an NJ State Nursing License, along with specific certifications like BLS-C and ACLS within 90 days of hire.
Utilizes the nursing process to provide and direct primary nursing care to complicated, critically ill adult and geriatric patients with cardiovascular/pulmonary health deficits, in whom outcomes may be unpredictable; participates in the care of unstable or complicated patients: is supported by the charge nurse and/or CN III in caring for complicated patients with unpredictable outcomes. Serves as a mentor to student nurse externs.
: A minimum of 1 year experience acute care nursing is required.; cardiopulmonary and critical care experience preferred
Education: Graduate of accredited diploma, associate degree or baccalaureate degree nursing program
Required License / Credentials: NJ State Nursing License
Adheres to Hospital and HIPPA privacy policies.
Delegates activities to ancillary nursing staff, student nurses and LPN.
Works under general supervision of nurse manager or designated charge nurse.
48 hours per pay period / 7P-7A Shift
The minimum starting rate for this position is $47.08
