The Clinical Pharmacist oversees all aspects of medication preparation and dispensing across various acute care areas, including sterile and non-sterile compounding, while ensuring compliance with USP guidelines. This role also involves order verification, providing therapeutic drug monitoring for specific patient groups, and troubleshooting medication system issues.
Candidates must possess a Pharm.D. degree or a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy and hold current licensure, or be eligible for licensure, by the Iowa Board of Pharmacy Examiners. Desired qualifications include experience in a hospital pharmacy setting and one year of applicable pharmacy experience, along with excellent communication skills.
