The Patient Care Technician, under RN supervision, performs routine and delegated patient care services, including direct and indirect care, focusing on patient comfort and safety in a fast-paced ambulatory surgical center. Key duties involve monitoring vital signs, rooming patients, assisting with admissions, collecting specimens, and aiding patient mobility.
Candidates should preferably be graduates of a Patient Care Tech program and possess at least six months of prior related experience assisting with patient care, along with a required current American Heart Association BLS certificate. Essential qualities include the ability to work well in a fast-paced surgical environment and excellent communication skills.

The PCT plays an integral role in supporting the patient care team and assisting in a fast-paced perioperative ambulatory surgical center.
