This role also involves verifying patient and insurance information while collaborating with clinical staff and external vendors for successful procedure execution.
Candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent and demonstrate knowledge of medical terminology, along with strong English communication and computer proficiency, including EMR systems. A minimum of three years of medical office or healthcare scheduling experience is preferred, as is prior experience coordinating authorizations.

The Procedure Scheduler is responsible for coordinating and scheduling patient procedures, managing assigned provider procedure schedules, and ensuring all required documentation, authorizations, and clearances are obtained prior to the procedure date. This role verifies patient demographic and insurance information, maintains accurate scheduling and patient records, and collaborates closely with providers, nursing staff, hospital departments, and external vendors to ensure timely and successful procedures. The Procedure Scheduler provides excellent customer service to patients, providers, and external partners while maintaining professionalism, discretion, and strict confidentiality. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, effective communication, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
