Direct Care Staff provide support and case management for members with a Developmental Disability and co-occurring disorders, assisting them to live as independently as possible in their community under direct supervision of the Team Leader. This involves providing 24-hour non-medical care in a homelike setting for individuals requiring additional supports and supervision.
Candidates must possess a High School Graduation or G.E.D. and have six months of prior experience providing direct care to persons with developmental disabilities. Additionally, staff must obtain Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification within twelve months and complete Direct Support Professional (DSP) competency training within one year, along with maintaining a valid driver's license.

Expected starting wage without all 3 certifications is $28.27
Expected starting wage with all 3 certifications (DSP I & II & RBT) is higher! Please inquire if you have all certs!
. Telecare applies geographic differentials to its pay ranges. The pay range assigned to this role will be based on the geographic location from which the role is performed. Starting pay is commensurate with relevant experience above the minimum requirements.

Telecare Poplar House in East Palo Alto is Enhanced Behavioral Supports Homes (EBSHs) are adult residential facilities. EBSHs provide 24-hour non-medical care in a homelike setting to individuals with developmental disabilities with challenging behaviors who require additional supports, staffing, and supervision. The homes have unique characteristics and offer person-centered planning, positive behavior supports, trauma-informed care, and other services and supports which are beyond what is typically available in other community-based homes.
