The Registered Nurse provides and maintains a therapeutic environment for patients and families, articulating the professional nursing role to all relevant parties. Responsibilities include providing age-appropriate nursing care, observing, reporting, documenting patient information, and participating in performance improvement activities.
Required qualifications include further training and/or work experience in the clinic specialty, the ability to function effectively as a team member, and skills in interviewing, examining, assessing, evaluating, and identifying patient health problems. A current Oregon RN license is mandatory, and previous clinic setting experience is preferred.

· Provides and maintains a therapeutic environment for patients and families.
· Articulates the professional nursing role to the patient, family and health team members.
· Communicates the plan of care and other pertinent information to / from other patient care team members.
· Provides nursing care appropriate to age group of patients.
· Observes, reports, and documents relevant patient information.
· Helps define standards of excellence for patient care; participates in improvement of patient care services.
· Participates in and contributes to performance improvement activities.
· Collaborates with other professional and non-professional personnel in maintaining recognized standards.
· Participates in orientation of new permanent and temporary staff members.
· Appropriately utilizes nursing resources, equipment and supplies.
· Participates in daily activities conducive to the comfort & safety of patients / their families & practice staff.
· Provides input to the practice leadership regarding practice needs.
· Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills based on current nursing education practice.
· Screening, dosing and administration of injections
· Instruction and administration of tests
· Maintain medical records in orderly fashion
· Telephone triage of patients
· Renewal of prescription refill to pharmacies
· Recognition of medical emergency and initiation of alert and treatment system
· Knowledge of copies, FAX, computer (PC) systems and perform other duties as assigned.
