The primary responsibility involves obtaining blood specimens from patients of all ages using venipuncture and capillary collection methods while adhering to laboratory policies and maintaining confidentiality. Essential functions also include processing laboratory orders, utilizing computer systems, and performing necessary clerical duties.
Candidates must possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent, along with either completion of a phlebotomy class or at least one year of phlebotomy experience. Required knowledge includes familiarity with the laboratory environment and medical terminology, coupled with excellent customer service and communication skills.

Obtains blood specimens from patients of all ages (newborn, children, adult, and geriatric) using venipuncture and capillary collection methods. Processes orders and specimens by following laboratory policies and procedures. Carries out all duties while maintaining compliance and confidentiality and promoting the mission and philosophy of the organization.
Qualifications: Education and Experience
High school diploma or GED equivalent. Phlebotomy class preferred.
Either completion of phlebotomy class or at least one year of phlebotomy experience required.
