The Medical Assistant supports provider practice by assisting with direct patient care, including rooming patients, documenting vital signs, administering medications, and performing various diagnostic tests. Responsibilities also include managing patient call backs, processing refill requests, maintaining supply inventory, and ensuring compliance with organizational protocols.
Candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent and meet one of several criteria: prior Medical Assistant experience, comparable experience as a CNA/EMT/PCT involving direct patient care, vital signs, and medication administration, or graduation from a medical assistant program. A current AHA BLS/CPR card is required, and Medical Assistant certification is preferred.

Under close supervision of nursing leadership, supports provider practice by assisting with direct patient care duties, including patient call backs and refill request. May perform diagnostic testing, maintain supply inventory levels, and clean and maintain medical equipment. Carries out all duties while maintaining compliance and confidentiality and promoting the mission and philosophy of the organization.
Qualifications: Education and Experience
• Six (6) months or more experience as a Medical Assistant.
