The Mental Health Technician supports the patient's therapeutic treatment plan as part of a multidisciplinary team. This role involves providing essential personal care services such as hygiene, feeding, bathing, and assisting patients with mobility and elimination.
A high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with current CPR certification. A minimum of one year of experience in patient care within a therapeutic mental health setting is preferred, as is 3 to 6 months of direct care experience with the elderly.
