This position is responsible for preparing medical records for completion by physicians and other allied health professionals, which includes scanning paper records into the electronic medical record after discharge. The clerk must also maintain confidentiality, respond to record requests promptly, and follow all applicable laws and regulations regarding information release.
Candidates must have a minimum of one to two years of experience working in Medical Records within a hospital setting, along with previous customer service experience in a healthcare environment. A high school diploma or equivalent is required for this role.

Under the supervision of the Director of HIM, this position prepares the medical record for completion by physicians and other allied health care professionals.
