The therapist will be responsible for identifying and treating a variety of mental health diagnoses and disorders while adhering to a professional code of conduct and providing ethical, patient-centric care. Essential duties include working cohesively within a multidisciplinary team and utilizing evidence-based treatment modalities.
Candidates must possess a master's degree in a clinical mental health field and hold a full or associate license in Marriage and Family Therapy, Clinical Mental Health, or Social Work. Previous experience in a mental health setting is preferred, and applicants must be willing to undergo specific additional training.
Description Tanner Clinic has an immediate opening for a full-time licensed Mental Health Therapist at our Layton Antelope A location.
· Ability to adequately identify and treat a variety of mental health diagnoses and disorders. · Ability to follow professional code of conduct and provide ethical, individualized, patient-centric care. · Ability to work cohesively as a member of a multidisciplinary team with effective communication skills. · Applicants are expected to use evidence-based treatments like cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, acceptance and commitment therapy, family-based therapy, emotion-focused therapy, or other forms of psychotherapy.
Education: Completion of a master's degree in a clinical mental health field with preference toward those who obtained their degree from accredited programs. Other Requirements: Fully or associate licensed therapist in Marriage and Family Therapy, Clinical Mental Health, or Social Work. Previous experience in a mental health setting (internships, volunteer work, etc.) is preferred. Applicants are, at a minimum, willing to undergo recommended additional training specific to best practices and supervision from in-house clinicians. Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of the job. Adherence to clinic policies, procedures, and ethical guidelines. Work Environment: Office-based work environment within a medical clinic with prolonged sitting and electronic device use, such as computers and telephones. Ability to adapt and learn computer-based software for medical record navigation, documentation purposes, and interdisciplinary referral systems and communication.
