The Chaplain provides spiritual and religious support to patients, families, and staff, including counseling, guidance, and education regarding worship services, crisis situations, and end-of-life issues. This role also involves offering total patient care on an on-call, emergent basis under the direction of the Director of Pastoral Care.
Candidates must possess a Master's degree in theology, divinity, or religious studies, or a Bachelor's degree with considerable experience, along with a minimum of two years in pastoral or hospital ministry. Strong interpersonal skills, knowledge of spiritual care in a hospital setting, and cultural sensitivity are essential, with licensure and CPE being preferred.
Under the direction of the Director of Pastoral Care, the Chaplain will provide both individuals and groups spiritual and religious support including performance of individual and family counseling, guidance and education to patients, their families and TMC Medical Center Market management and staff regarding worship services, crisis counseling, spiritual, religious, emotional, cultural and relational issues as well as end of life issues. Also offer total patient care on an on-call, emergent basis.
