The Physical Therapist Assistant treats patients of all ages using age-specific tools under the direction of a Licensed Physical Therapist and assists in supervising supportive personnel. This role also involves providing consultation and maintaining communication across hospital departments.
No prior experience is necessary, accepting new graduates, but candidates must possess a current Florida Physical Therapy license and obtain a current BLS/CPR certification within 90 days of hire. Successful completion of background and drug tests is also mandatory.
Treats patients of all ages using age specific treatment tools according to established treatment programs under the supervision of a Licensed Physical Therapist and assists with the supervision of supportive personnel. Provides consultation, represents the department in the hospital and the community, maintains interdepartmental communication.
No experience necessary (will accept new graduates).
Current Florida Physical Therapy license required. Current BLS/CPR certification required within 90 days of hire. Must clear background and drug test required.
