This role is responsible for providing cardiac monitoring for assigned patients under the direction of a Registered Nurse and Physician. The technician also performs necessary duties to ensure the smooth flow of patient care within the department.
Required qualifications include the successful completion of an EKG Dysrhythmia interpretation or Monitor Tech course and/or Certificate, along with typing, computer skills, and current Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association. Prior hospital experience and basic medical terminology knowledge are preferred.
Provides cardiac monitoring for patients of assigned department under the direction of the RN and Physician. Performs duties necessary to maintain the flow of patient care.
