The Occupational Therapist will help patients regain independence and quality of life by assessing diverse patients, developing treatment plans, and conducting evaluations for daily activities. Responsibilities also include collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, documenting thoroughly, and providing positive, motivating care.
Candidates must have a High School Graduate or GED, a minimum of two years of clinical experience demonstrating independence and competence, and possess a current California Occupational Therapist license upon hire. Basic Life Support - CPR certification is also required.
Accurately identifies patient's functional deficits/dysfunction through review of the medical record, through observation of the patient, through information obtained from the patient/family, and through assessment of expressive/receptive language, motor speech, cognitive/linguistic hearing, voice and swallowing and other speech therapy assessment techniques.
Discussion, Feedback, Chart Review, Observation.
Communicates regularly with other members of the healthcare team regarding goals, progress and rehab potential. Works as a collaborative member of the treatment team.
