The Polysom Tech will perform diagnostic sleep procedures, which includes setting up the lab, preparing patients, conducting and evaluating polysomnograms, and scoring sleep staging daily. Responsibilities also involve assisting with data tabulation, monitoring/adjusting equipment, and ensuring diagnostic accuracy and patient safety under supervision.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and be a graduate of an accredited polysomnographer program upon hire. Required credentials include being a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist or Certified Polysomnograph Technologist, or holding a Respiratory Care Practitioner license in Kentucky, along with current Basic Life Support - CPR certification.
