The Physical Therapist will help patients maintain or rebuild physical well-being to optimize function, reduce pain, and enhance quality of life through daily evaluations, developing individualized care plans, and providing direct treatments. Responsibilities also include meeting productivity standards, collaborating with the team and families, and promoting a positive customer service environment.
Candidates must possess strong age-appropriate competency skills, excellent communication abilities, and a collaborative, patient-centered approach to care, along with a minimum of two years of clinical experience demonstrating independence and competence. Required credentials include a California Physical Therapist license and Basic Life Support - CPR certification upon hire.
Accurately identifies patient's functional deficits/dysfunction through review of the medical record, through observation of the patient, through information obtained from the patient/family, and through manual muscle testing, range of motion testing, postural analysis, functional analysis and other physical therapy assessment techniques. Accurately interprets the physician's order.
Discussion, Feedback, Chart Review, Observation.
Effectively communicates with other members of the healthcare team regarding goals, progress and rehab potential. Works as a collaborative member of the treatment team. Attends any necessary and appropriate patient care meetings, such as mini rounds, weekly patient care conference, weekly NICU discharge meetings, etc.
