As a Radiologist Assistant, you will be responsible for providing support and assistance to the Radiologist in a variety of ways, both administrative and procedural.
This is a full-time working Monday & Friday 7:30am-4:30pm and Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 9:30am-4:30pm.
Essential duties and responsibilities: (75%) Administrative Support
1.
Monitors voicemails and email 2.
Screens in-coming phone calls and assists physicians in returning or placing calls 3.
Prepares and presents images or films, reports, and pertinent information for the Radiologist to return patient calls 4.
Opens, reviews, and prioritizes each doctor's mail; forwards mail to appropriate department as needed 5.
Process outgoing mail as directed 6.
Maintains physician's schedule, travel arrangements and expense accounts 7.
Types letters, data sheets, notes and memos 8.
Receives phone calls or correspondence from attorneys and their staff regarding scheduling depositions or legal consultation 9.
Creates and maintains accurate and up-to-date Curriculum Vitae for each doctor 10.
Pulls and sorts teaching file memos and films or images for Radiologists (physicians) to review upon request for study purposes 11.
Creates PowerPoint and/or image slides for upcoming lectures or referring physicians
(20%) Orders, Renewals, & Submissions
1.
Orders office supplies and keeps common physician work areas and offices clean and organized 2.
Orders books and journals and renews subscriptions 3.
Renews state medical licenses (Minnesota and any other states), medical society memberships, hospital staff privileges and DEA/Controlled Substance renewals 4.

Calls designated societies to obtain the next year's projected schedule on conference dates and due dates for submission of abstracts/posters as requested 5.
Processes and completes new medical license applications, paying attention to any special instructions 6.
Obtains CME certificates and logs CME credits, ensures that physicians have received their certificates from the conferences they’ve attended.

Proofs, edits and submits manuscripts to book or journal in style requested, before deadline date as indicated 8.
Tracks and arranges the order of manuscript reprints as requested

Qualifications
Required
High school diploma, or equivalent
Medical Administrative assistant certificate or diploma, or equivalent experience in the healthcare/medical industry
Experience using Microsoft Office Suite; Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
Data entry experience
Proficient using computer systems and typing
Preferred
Associate’s degree in medical secretary or related and appliable field
Two (2) years’ healthcare/medical office experience
