The Patient Care Technician provides direct patient care tasks, including bathing, feeding, and obtaining vital signs, all under the supervision of a Nurse. This role also involves assisting physicians and nurses with procedures, monitoring patient status, and documenting all interactions in the medical record.
Candidates must complete a nursing assistant program, EMT program, or the first block of a nursing program by the time of hire. Required certifications include an Arizona Emergency Medical Technician or Certified Nursing Assistant license, along with Basic Life Support - CPR certification upon hire.
Bachelor Degree In Occupational Therapy Licensed by the State of Texas in Occupational Therapy Certified by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) BLS CPR certified, American Heart Association Minimum Experience: Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Effective Communication Knowledge of the principles and skills of the clinical process to provide patient care and treatment. Critical thinking skills Demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills both written and verbal Basic Computer skills
