The Clinical Assistant supports patient care delivery by preparing patients for examinations, collecting and documenting medical information, and performing clinical tasks such as phlebotomy and EKGs. This role also involves supporting administrative operations, including managing office supplies, checking in patients, and handling payments.
A minimum requirement is a High School Diploma or equivalent, with no prior experience mandated, although one or more years of Medical Office or patient care experience is preferred. Basic Life Safety certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
The Clinical Assistant supports the delivery of patient care in the physician practice setting. The Clinical Assistant rooms patients and provides clinical services within the scope of a non-licensed position. This includes collecting and documenting patient information, performing phlebotomy and patient education, assisting in office-based testing and procedures, and supporting the administrative operations of the office.
