The optometrist will conduct comprehensive eye exams, establish long-term patient relationships through care and education, and perform necessary diagnostic procedures like vision tests and health evaluations. Responsibilities also include prescribing corrective lenses and medications, providing pre- and post-operative care, and communicating recommendations clearly to support staff.
Candidates must possess a Doctorate of Optometry from a credentialed institution and must have successfully passed all state optometric board examinations. The role requires the ability to practice to the full scope of the license and support practice growth.
