The Ophthalmic Technician will assist physicians by performing administrative and clinical duties, including preparing patients, conducting routine vision screenings, and administering eye medications. Essential functions also involve performing advanced diagnostic tests, educating patients on care, and assisting during minor surgical and laser procedures.
Candidates must possess a High School diploma or equivalent, excellent communication and organizational skills, and a minimum of one year of experience as an Ophthalmic Technician Assistant or equivalent specialized ophthalmic experience. The role requires the ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, and stand for extended periods.

As an Ophthalmic Technician, you will play a vital role as an assistant to our physicians. You will be cross trained to perform a range of administrative and clinical duties. These duties include preparing the patient to see the physician, preparing examination rooms, performing basic and routine vision screening examinations, administering eye medications, cleaning, and maintaining ophthalmic instruments and assisting physicians during minor surgical and laser procedures.
• Rotating Schedule – including days, evenings and weekends
• $24.50 per hour
