The Respiratory Therapist administers medications and performs diagnostic testing for the cardio-pulmonary system, responding to emergencies and providing life support. They also manage patient care related to respiratory therapy and maintain equipment as per protocols.
Candidates must have an Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy and hold a current State of Michigan License in Respiratory Care. Certifications in ACLS, BLS, and PALS are required within specified timeframes after hire.
This position, independently or in consultation with a physician, administers medications, performs various types of therapeutic modalities and diagnostic testing for and of the cardio-pulmonary system, responds to arrest and emergency situations and provides CPR and life support systems.
