The Physical Therapist organizes and conducts a Physical Therapy program to rehabilitate individuals with physical or psychosocial disabilities by directing participation in selected activities and treatments to restore health. Key duties include performing evaluations, developing treatment plans, executing effective treatment techniques, educating patients/families, and participating in discharge planning.
Candidates must be graduates of an accredited Physical Therapy program and possess required proficiency in evaluation, treatment skills appropriate for the patient's age, professional initiative, time management, and interpersonal skills. Applicants must also be physically capable of patient treatment and mobility assistance, and must obtain Basic Life Support certification within 90 days and hold an Ohio or Multi-State Compact Physical Therapist license.
