Perform advanced nerve conduction studies (NCS) and provide specialized technical support for physician-performed electromyography (EMG) in an academic clinical setting. Practice with a high degree of autonomy, applying advanced clinical judgment and technical expertise to ensure safe, accurate, and diagnostically rigorous studies across a wide range of neuromuscular disorders. Select, tailor, and execute study protocols in alignment with evidence-based guidelines, optimizing data quality through real-time troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving. Communicate relevant technical findings clearly and effectively to supervising physicians, fellows, residents, and trainees to support clinical decision-making, education, and research initiatives. Support the academic mission through collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, participation in teaching activities, and contribution to continuous quality improvement efforts. Build and maintain patient and provider trust through clear communication, patient education, and compassionate, professional care. Ensure compliance with all institutional, regulatory, and departmental standards related to quality, safety, ethics, and patient privacy.
